Nashville and the 4th of July

We've decided to stay through the fourth here in Nashville. It's been pretty hard to leave. The weather can get hot, but the people, the food (surprising enough, coming from San Francisco and all its palette-inspiring locals), and the green lawns beside beautiful homes.

Cassandra and I had our pop-up at Fond Objects in Inglewood, a great, up-and-coming neighborhood for young families and those searching for affordable homes; But that's changing fast.

Gem and his staff at Fond Objects were so gracious. We set up outside the shop in the parking lot and being on a busy street, we barely had time to sit down and enjoy a sandwich or iced coffee. Smiling faces graced us all day, and we made a fair amount of sales, but the experience was the pay off. Afterwards we spent the last hour listening to free music and drinking free beer in the back lot of Fond Objects. Ah those Summer concerts.

We've had the luck of staying at Cassandra's friends' Amos and Nettie's place in the heart of Inglewood. They've given us a comfortable bed, space to kick our feet up, and a nice blow-up pool in the back to take a late evening dunk in. It's a pickers dream! We've become very comfortable and are scared we might stay.

Tonight, the fourth of July, we are planning on venturing nearby to a park where fireworks and evening food and drinks will be had. When we finally move on tomorrow, we'll be dreaming of fireflies and barbecue! Thank you Nashville!
